Fall Abundance: Classes, Specials & More

I always feel a little blue at this time of year. The days get shorter and cooler. We have to shut down our backyard pool. And, this fall, I am an empty-nester. So, right now, I am trying to be particularly mindful of all the good things in life. I am so grateful for the opportunities Stampin’ Up! has brought me, and I have found LOADS of GOOD THINGS to share with you in the Stampin’ world.

Click this link to see our beautiful new Holiday Catalogue. If you’d like a personal copy of the catalogue, there is a stack of catalogues sitting in the pick-up box beside my house. Please help yourself to one!

This amazing stamp set and coordinating dies (see the pictured cards that my talented friend, Susan, created) will NOT be available in future catalogues. Sigh! There are still a few sets remaining, so order yours now while the supplies last.

Each week, from now until September 21, there will be special deals. You can see pictures of them on my website under Shop Now>Special Offers. Here is a list of the items that are 25% off, this week only:

*Enamel Shapes (available in metallics, subtles, regals and brights!)

*Blossom Builder punch

*Festive Texture embossing folder

*Tip Top Taupe Mini Striped Ribbon

If you have never subscribed to Paper Pumpkin, now is a great time! New subscribers can buy their first monthly kit at the regular price of $26.95 and get their second month FREE. Be sure to use the promo code, BOGO, and select me as your Demonstrator.

I am having so much fun getting ready for my final Club session of the season!  I’m hoping the club members will love these projects as much as I do.  Both of these cards were based on ideas I found on Pinterest.  You probably can’t tell from the photo, but the apron is actually made from an envelope, and it can hold a tea bag or other small item!

My Stampin’ Rewards Club will start up again in September. Each month a new hostess earns Stampin’ Rewards (ie. Free Stampin’ Up! product) based on members’ purchases.  Contact me if you’d like to join the group in the fall – space is limited.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Happy Spring and Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy 2016! In December, all Paper Pumpkin subscribers received the kit “One Great Year”. (Not sure what Paper Pumpkin is?  Check it out here: Paperpumpkin.com)  I sat down to make my kit and came up with this handy variation.

Yup, it’s just a 5 X 7 dollar store, clear picture frame. I did have to cut the patterned background papers down to 5″ (they are 6″ tall in the original kit). And I didn’t use any Dimensional adhesives when decorating each month so that the monthly calendars would slip in and out of the frame more easily.  I am always writing on sticky notes. Now I’ll know exactly where to find them!  The Bow Builder punch was a belated addition to fill in some of the empty space and add to the cute factor. Easy Peasy 😄.

If you haven’t tried Paper Pumkin, the three-month pre-paid subscription is on sale right now. And, until the end of March, you can choose a FREE Sale-a-Bration reward along with your three-month subscription!  Leave me a message if you would like more info!

My “Sassy Stampers” group recently did a greeting card swap in the mail. About a dozen of us participated, and I received cards from places like Colorado, Iowa, California, Pennsylvania, and Kindersley. It was SO MUCH FUN to find cards in my mailbox! (#betterthanbills)

I thought I would show you the cards I received from Pam in Florida. I chose to share Pam’s cards because both of her designs use stamp sets that I don’t have (I know, many of you are shocked to hear that I don’t own every set from the Holiday Catalogue – ha ha!)

The card with the cardinal features the two-step stamp set, Joyful Season. I like how Pam used washi tape to attach the tag to her card. And I ❤️ the small scattering of gold sequins! The card with the penguin uses the Snow Place stamp set. Thankfully, it has a coordinating set of framelits so Pam could easily cut the penguin and the tuque without much fuss. For me, the addition of the pom-pom and the glimmer paper really make this card. (Note to my US friends: the tuque is what is on the penguin’s head!)

FYI: all stamp sets from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue and Holiday Catalogue are 15% off right now. But only until October 23. . Please email me if you have questions about placing an order (bmikuliak@sasktel.net) OR you can shop on my website, stampventures.stampinup.net.

What was in your mailbox today? This was a loaded question for anyone living in Moose Jaw because today was the first official day of “community mailbox” delivery for most residents. Yup …. Canada Post is phasing out home postal delivery across the country. Going forward, we will have to walk down the block to a large community box, where we have our own little box that we open with a key. There was nothing in my box today.

So you can imagine the irony of the situation, when I looked at the mailbox on the side of my house and found Paper Pumpkin boxes piled there! (The Paper Pumpkin kits are delivered by Fed Ex, so it wasn’t a postal carrier breaking the rules.) But it did feel a little bit like a “Na-na na-na boo-boo to you Canada Post” moment.

And what a nice surprise I found inside the box as well. Here’s a peek.

If you would like to receive these monthly crafting kits in your mailbox, you can check it out at paperpumpkin.com. And until September 2, the first two months are half-price for new subscribers 😀😀. Be sure to use the promo code, HALFOFF..

Pay-it-forward Mail!

I received the best kind of mail today – a card crafted with love!

Isn’t it lovely? Thank you so much, Lynn! I can’t give you a lot of information about the card because I’m not sure which company makes these particular dies, but I do recognize Stampin’ Up!’s Soft Sky card stock and Modern Label Punch.

What made the card even more unique, was that it was entirely BLANK on the inside. But when you opened it up, a small note paper fell out, and this is what it said:

I didn’t sign this card before I sent it off to you.
Instead, it holds my warmest thoughts, invisible but true.
And if you find a time you need to brighten someone’s day,
Then take this card and sign it, and send it on its way!

I will definitely forward the card to someone who needs to have their day brightened! And I might have to print some of these little notes too 😀.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
